The friendly fox is a great name for a coffee shop. Especially when it is in the middle of a neighborhood and bakes it's own treats on site. I loved all the cute fox branding of everything. The building was brink with a nice big patio and the workers were all really nice. I didn't have time to sit here and enjoy everything but I did pick up 30 pastries and enjoy them later. Parking is no issue here at all. THey are closed on Sunday though.

We went for chai during a blistery morning. The service was super friendly and customer-oriented. The chai is made in house. Will go back to try the rest of the menu!

Very neat place! Love the live music and the unique menu items. My favorites are the paninis and homemade desserts.

When you think of your small neighborhood cafe just outside of the city, you're pretty much envisioning The Friendly Fox. Nestled in the historic southside area of Fort Wayne, this is truly a gem. The menu is creative and flavorful and they are almost always cooking up something new (ask for daily specials). The beer and wine list is impressive as far as a little something for everyone goes. Did I mention dessert? The fact that they make their own ice cream should right away tell you its a meal component not taken lightly. With outdoor seating available in the summer months and live music throughout the week, this place is sure to be on my list of Fort Wayne's most impressive foodie havens for years to come.

Food and drinks are great but the customer service leaves much to be desired. The lady at the counter, maybe she was an owner or the manager, was unfriendly and acted as if customers were an inconvenience. I live in the neighborhood and was happy that a little cafe like this existed but customer service needs improvement.

Always great service, this small neighborhood cafe is one of my favorite spots. Their specials are always on point, and desserts are made in house and are killer good. The egg rolls are my favorite appetizer, try them! The fox salad and brisket panini are great orders as well. My only complaint is the meat to bread ratio on the paninis is not so good, and they don't have a variety of breads for them. Add in the homemade ice cream, craft beers, and desserts this place is filled with guilty pleasures in the 46807 zip code.

This is my favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne!!Soups, sandwiches and salads are different from your run of the mill sandwich shop. Unique and delicious. Restaurant is always super clean. If it's busy you won't get awesome service because they're are typically only 2 servers. But, it is quaint and the staff is super friendly.

What a great little gem! The Chef, Dan, is awesome! So creative and always delivers his amazing food to you with a warm and sincere smile. Not complicated but just enough sophistication for a delicatessen. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nice lunch, coffee drinks, beer, or wine. Don't forget about dessert! Keep up the good work!

This cafe is hands down my new favorite place in Fort Wayne. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is phenomenal and the service is funny and very helpful if you have no idea what to get (because everything looks good!!!). I loved everything that I tried and will definitely be back for more!!! If you're looking for awesome food, great service and a fun cafe or restaurant then this is the place to go. It's a little out of the way but soooo worth finding! It's a hidden gem!

While stopping in Fort Wayne for our wedding, our photographers recommended this adorable little breakfast place for an early morning shoot/caffeine fix. While coffee made it's way to all of the hands of our wedding party, a Garbage Plate made it into the hands of one of my brothers. While it's his usual diner go-to, he was honestly blown away by how amazing it was. We all tried a bit, and it was seriously some crazy good eats. A menu blurb: "Garbage plate $6.95 -- Biscuits, covered with egg, potato, green onion, tomato, cheddar cheese. bacon and all smothered with sausage gravy" It was fresh, not greasy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Definitely not what you're expecting when you think of Diner food. The coffee was decent, but the attitude was not so much. We'll be back, that's for sure. To try out one of their recommended quiches, as well as to see if they fixed their attitude. I agree with Kyle Z. It should be called the "Not-so-friendly-Fox". I had ordered coffee, you know, without the side of sneering and attitude.

I have always had wonderful service! The staff is always energetic, polite, knowledgeable, and sure to great you as soon as you walk in the door. The food is excellent- you can't go wrong. Lots of great drink choices. The homemade desserts and ice creams are amazing!! I will definitely be ordering The Fox Salad and Butternut Squash Flatbread again!

The food and service here are great. Good beer choices. The outside seating area is very nice and dare I say friendly environment. If money wasn't a big deal I'd give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately for them it is for me. Pricey food and drinks keep me from coming here more often.

This little coffee shop is the social hub of the neighborhood. Their house made menu items are amazing. I highly recommend "the Fox"!

I was visiting family in Fort Wayne and they let me know about this cool coffee shop/lunch spot. I decided to stop in and was pleasantly surprised. Good coffee, good sandwichs, great service. Thanks for a great lunch!

My friend recommended this cute little cafe for dinner. We both got the BLT- the bacon was crisped perfectly. So good. Greek salad was yummy too. This place is decorated in such a cute way-love the old building and how it has been transformed. Check it out. :)

Great place for food or drinks. Their beer selection is spot on. I can't find some of the beer they have there anywhere else. The environment is unique and a nice change of pace from the typical chain cafa you'll find in Fort Wayne.

A gem of a neighborhood cafe. Off the beaten path but so worth it. Excellent reasonably priced food, drinks & even home made ice cream. In warm months you can even bring your dog to the outside patio area. On the weekends there are great live bands and you can get wine and beer. Very family friendly with a sign to prove it. I'm always tempted to leave my children unattended. Just to see if they really will give them a shot of espresso and a free kitten!

We loved the great neighborhood feel of the Friendly Fox, a vintage look updated with hanging plants and nice lighting. The coffee was fresh and good, they have soy milk for the lactose intolerant, and the food looked great. Locals were hanging out and having a great time. Definitely a nice place for a snowy afternoon. Handy street parking, too. I can't second the comments about attitude, we found the staff very friendly indeed. Maybe we didn't bring any in with us.

The Friendly Fox is a hidden gem located on a neighborhood corner on South Wayne. It's an eclectic cafe with unique menu items. Mostly salads, wraps, and sammies, but very gourmet. Most recently I tried their special that week which was a grilled cheese panini comprised of a goat cheese spread and bacon. It was much better than your average grilled cheese! Friendly Fox also serves up desserts and pastries which look fabulous and taste even better. They do have a small selection of craft beers (bottled) and wines by the glass, which make it a great spot to have a light dinner. In the warmer months, patio seating is available which I've read elsewhere is dog friendly. On the weekends, they generally have live music. It's nice to get away from the chain restaurants and get some great local grub!

Before leaving Ft. Wayne, my best friend recommended this local cafe. It was easy to find, with accessible street parking, and friendly service. I purchased a rhubarb scone (yummy!), and the latte was perfect! This appears to be a family-friendly locale (even serves ice cream), and an ideal location for a neighborhood cafe. Next time I'm in Ft. Wayne, I'll def. be swinging by the Friendly Fox.

I've eaten here twice before. The selection is varied and unique. They offer homemade gluten free bread as a substitute for their usual bread. I haven't had issues before, but after my meal today I'm positive my meal was contaminated with gluten. Having Celiac Disease, this is a big disappointment seeing as my meal made me ill. Defiantly worth a stop if you don't have dining restrictions. Wouldn't recommend for those with.

Great local cafe with great food, great service and on the weekends some great local music as well. The prices for the homemade food and dessert selections are affordable and the staff is friendly and happy to serve. They are also accommodating for substitutions and welcome feedback. Their email alerts and specials come regularly as well.
